RAM Automation engineers, integrates, and supports PLC, SCADA, telemetry, instrumentation, and remote monitoring systems across West Texas.

Capabilities
From a troublesome loop to a complete facility monitoring system, we build automation around how the operation actually works.
Programming, migrations, troubleshooting, and commissioning across multiple PLC platforms. We also connect equipment from different manufacturers so the complete process operates as one coordinated system.
Operator interfaces and browser based dashboards built across multiple HMI and SCADA platforms. Every screen is designed around clear navigation, dependable tag mapping, alarms, trends, reports, and the way operators actually run the facility.
Secure remote access, hosted operating views, alarm notifications, scheduled reports, and practical visibility from field devices to the people responsible for production.
Network architecture and protocol integration for PLCs, instruments, gateways, and servers. We diagnose communications problems and build resilient paths across mixed vendor systems.
Production data, well tests, tank levels, totals, downloadable reports, and dashboards that turn raw field values into useful operating information.
Fast diagnosis of control, instrumentation, software, and network problems. We also plan and execute modernization projects that reduce downtime and simplify long term maintenance.
Complete project delivery
RAM Automation is a full service industrial contractor built to carry a project beyond the controls cabinet. Our team coordinates civil work, mechanical and structural needs, electrical design, panel work, programming, commissioning, and ongoing field support.
Clients get one accountable group that understands how the structure, instruments, panels, networks, software, and operating process must work together.
Excavation, trenching, foundations, conduit routes, equipment pads, and site preparation coordinated around the controls scope.
Mechanical coordination, equipment supports, fabricated assemblies, and certified structural packages developed with qualified engineering professionals.
New control panel design, power distribution, I/O layouts, drawings, fabrication coordination, panel modifications, and field installation.
PLC, HMI, SCADA, telemetry, instrumentation, databases, reports, and communications brought together across multiple manufacturers.
Loop checks, point to point verification, controls testing, functional testing, operator training, documentation, and controlled startup support.
A team of programmers and technicians available for troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, emergency response, and the next phase of the facility.
Owner Jeff Ortiz brings more than 15 years of experience across the full path from entry level field work to controls engineering and foreman leadership. That background keeps every design focused on safe installation, practical operation, and what the people in the field actually need.
How we take care of our people
RAM Automation is family oriented at every level. Whether the team is solving a difficult startup or helping get the charcoal going at an employee's birthday cookout, our people pitch in and make sure nobody handles it alone. We believe taking care of each other creates a stronger team and better work for every customer.
Selected projects
Each project starts with the process and ends with a system the operations team can understand, maintain, and expand.

Multi facility monitoring and control
A secure operations platform that organizes an entire production facility into one clear view. Operators can monitor tank levels, separators, heaters, water systems, scrubbers, flares, pumps, communications, and active alarms without jumping between disconnected tools.
Built for configurable facilities, live equipment status, alarm management, trends, reports, role based access, and dependable communications from Allen Bradley controllers to the hosted application.

Production testing and reporting
A purpose built well testing workflow for starting, tracking, and reviewing multiple production tests. Operators select a configured well and duration while the system manages timing, cumulative oil, gas, and water volumes, and completed test records.
Includes configurable low flow protection, trip delays, automatic completion rules, historical test review, and CSV reporting so production teams get consistent results with less manual handling.

Instrumentation access and interlocking
A controlled way to connect one HART modem to multiple field instruments. The interface selects the required device through networked relay modules while clearly showing the active channel, relay health, connection state, and readback status.
Break before make logic verifies that every output is off before enabling a new channel. Emergency shutdown, user permissions, network setup, backup, and audit functions help keep field access controlled and repeatable.

Live monitoring and predictive modeling
A map based flood intelligence platform that combines live Hermes field stations with engineering models and weather information. Teams can see current water levels, station health, alarm conditions, forecast data, and vulnerable locations from one operating view.
The platform supports HEC RAS and TUFLOW model results, NOAA weather layers, predictive flood areas, location alerts, trends, communications diagnostics, and controlled engineering access for simulation and verification.
Watch Poseidon presentationConfigurable field data and control
A customizable edge device that brings field instruments, local logic, communications, and secure remote visibility into one compact station. Hermes can be configured for each location instead of forcing every site into the same fixed design.
The web interface supports Modbus RTU and TCP devices, raw and scaled analog values, live data quality, output rules, alarm and horn settings, trends, CSV exports, protected configuration, downloadable backups, and MQTT publishing to a central application.
Industries
We work where uptime, safety, and clear information matter. Every screen, alarm, and line of logic should help the operation run better.
Tank batteries, SWDs, well pads, production measurement, pumping, separation, flares, and remote facilities.
Pumps, tanks, lift stations, treatment processes, remote telemetry, alarming, and operator dashboards.
Skids, packaging, utilities, process equipment, data collection, controls upgrades, and custom integration.
How we work
No mystery box. You get a system your team can understand, maintain, and expand.
Walk the process, define the real operating need, and identify the safest path forward.
Build a practical control and communications design with clear scope and documentation.
Program, integrate, test, commission, and train the people who will use the system.
Stay available for troubleshooting, changes, reporting, and the next phase of the operation.
Alarm notifications
RAM Automation can configure customer authorized SMS and email notifications for alarm transitions, reminders, and scheduled operating reports.
